The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Foundation Announces Military Veteran Recognition Program at Brandywine Living
The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation and Brandywine Living will be hosting a military veteran recognition on Wednesday December 4, in remembrance of Pearl Harbor. The program will be held at 9 a.m. at Brandywine Living at Huntington Terrace, 70 Pinelawn Road Melville, NY 11747.
The military veteran recognition program will honor all Brandywine veterans who served our country with selflessness and honor.
Guest speaker Peter Fertig, President and Founder of the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award foundation, will pay tribute to our greatest generation with a special presentation. During the program, all veterans will receive an Act of Valor honorary pin and a signed Limited Edition Commemorative Issue of “Walk of Heroes, Profiles of Valor.” This limited edition issue will proudly portray the veterans names in a special recognition section of the book.
Bob Feller, who was an exceptional National Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher left the game he loved to enlist in the United States Navy two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served 44 months on the USS Alabama and was a true American Patriot. Peter Fertig created The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award with the support of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial, the Cleveland Indians, Major League Baseball, the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, and the gracious consent of Mrs. Anne Feller and the family of Jerry Coleman.
