The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Foundation Announces Ohio University Speaker Series Event

The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Foundation, in partnership with the AECOM Center for Sports Administration and the Sports Business Association at OHIO University will host their 3rd Annual Speaker Series event on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Over 200 Graduate and Undergraduate students are expected to visit Baker University Center in Athens OH on February 26 to listen to professionals from the Cleveland Indians, Miami Dolphins, Xcite Interactive and the US Army. The speakers will share their insights on the skills and qualifications needed for a successful career in business and sports management.

As a special feature this year, the event will be simulcast live using Live Streaming Technology provided by Leading Edge Training Solutions. LLC., a leader in Virtual Learning. High quality video and audio will be shared live with four east coast schools including Dean College and Emerson College in Massachusetts, James Madison University in Virginia and Farmingdale State College in New York. “Live Streaming now offers us the unique opportunity to scale our event beyond the traditional meeting and Involve hundreds of students in the conversation, says Foundation President, Peter Fertig.

Speakers include: Patrick DiBiasio–Representative, Corporate Partnerships, Cleveland Indians; Aaron Cohn-Executive VP, Xcite Interactive & Former VP of Corporate Partnerships, Pittsburgh Pirates; Brett Brecheisen-Football Communications Manager, Miami Dolphins; Joe Mulligan, Colonel, United States Army, (Ret.); and Ethan Sands –Moderator, Producer of Hardwood Heroes and Co-Host of The OUtlet.

Lindsay Berra, Freelance Sports Journalist, Author and Board member of the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center will join virtually from New Jersey to share stories of her sports legend grandfather, Yogi Berra and provide a guided tour of museum exhibits. 

The program will start at 6:00pm with local school orientation sessions followed by the live stream program at 6:30 pm.  Attendance is free to all students through the support and generous donations of school clubs and associations.
