Syncom Space Services (S3) is a Joint Venture Company operated by majority partner, Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE) and minority partner BWXT. S3 manages the SACOM contract for NASA which includes O&M, Engineering Services, Logistics, Medical Services and Health & Safety for both the Stennis Space Center (Hancock County, Mississippi) and the Michoud Assembly Facility (East New Orleans, Louisiana). S3 employs over 1,000 employees and achieves annual revenues exceeding $150M.

Originally from Seven Hills, Ohio. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan. Began career with 12 years at ABB (previously Bailey Controls Company), a distributed controls system company located in Wickliffe, Ohio. Spent two years as the Director of Engineering at Cyberex, LLC (Uninterruptable Power Supply manufacturer in Mentor, Ohio) before joining BWXT in May of 2000. General Manager of the BWXT NOG-Euclid manufacturing facility from 2010 to 2018. In 2018 Doug and his family relocated to Mandeville, Louisiana to take a senior leadership role at S3, one of BWXT’s joint venture operations.

Current Position

President and General Manager of Syncom Space Services. Overall responsibility for management of all S3 business operations at both Stennis Space Center and Michoud Assembly Facility.
